Joel Acevedo
Joel Acevedo was a kid when he fell in love with magic. He saw a magician whose entertaining performance created emotions in him so memorable that motivated Joel to find ways to share this arcane art with others. Joel combined his studies in Computer Engineering with advanced studies in the performance of magic at the "Magic & Mystery School" in Las Vegas and the "Gran Escuela de la Magia Ana Tamariz" in Spain, school to which he travels now to teach as guest professor. For the past 25 years, Joel has performed nationally and internationally in every imaginable setting: from intimate, close-up performances for a few VIP guests to stage shows for hundreds, even thousands, of people. His list of clients spans many industries and include organizations such as NASA, IBM, Harvard, and Liberty Mutual. Joel is based in Massachusetts, U.S.A. where, in addition to performing professionally both locally and internationally, he works as an engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In addition to his private engagements, he is the producer and co-star of Boston's highest rated show: "Four-Handed Illusions: An Intimate Evening of Laughs and Wonder".
