The World of Magic has recently discovered the wizardry of Alyx Hilshey. It’s not that she magically popped up out of nowhere. In fact, quite the opposite, as she has been performing throughout the United States for the past 12 years, developing an extensive repertoire while honing her craft.
Her unique, entertaining style has been seen by thousands and thousands of fans, and recently she’s received the highest accolades and raves from her peers. Within just the last year alone she’s been featured in newspapers, in on-line podcasts, and was the cover story for Vanish Magazine, the largest periodical in the world for and about magicians around the globe. This year she was also truly honored to be one of only a handful of entertainers to be invited to perform and speak at the prestigious 100th Anniversary celebration of the International Brotherhood of Magicians convention in Atlanta, GA.
Deciding to take a risk, Alyx left a successful career as an engineer and university instructor to pursue her passion for the magical arts. After years and years of practice and paying her dues by performing in every type of venue imaginable, for every type of audience imaginable, her one woman show which features incredible sleight of hand, her quick wit and an easy going performance style has made Alyx one of today's in-demand performers.
